Dolly Parton Announces American Leg Of Her Blue Smoke World Tour [VIDEO]

When Dolly Parton started performing her Blue Smoke World Tour in New Zealand and Australia, I wondered if I’d get the chance to see her on this side of the globe. Today, I can happily say that we’ll get the opportunity to do just that.

Dolly sent a newsletter to her fans this morning saying that she’s kicking off her tour in January “at home in the good ol’ USA.” So far, the confirmed American dates are:

  • Jan. 24 – Rancho Mirage, Calif. at Agua Caliente Casino
  • Jan. 25 – Primm, Nev. at Star of the Desert Arena
  • Jan. 26 – Reno, Nev. at Reno Events Center
  • Jan. 28 – Phoenix, Ariz. at Comerica Theater
  • May 22 – Tulsa, Okla. at Hard Rock Casino
  • May 23 – Tulsa, Okla. at Hard Rock Casino
  • May 25 – Cherokee, N.C. at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino
  • May 27 – Richmond, Ky. at EKU Center for the Arts (St. Mark’s Evening Among Friends)
  • May 28 – Knoxville, Tenn. at University of Tennessee (Benefiting Dolly’s Imagination Library)
  • May 30 – Thackerville, Okla. at Winstar Casino
  • May 31 – Thackerville, Okla. at Winstar Casino

For more concert dates or to purchase tickets, you can visit Dolly’s Tour page for details.

“I love traveling all over the world,” Dolly said, “but it’s true, there’s no place like home!” America is looking forward to seeing their Tennessee princess once more. Until then, watch the video above to get a sampling of Dolly in concert in London earlier this year. Here she sings one of my favorite songs, “Better Get To Livin’.” Enjoy!
