Nancy Hall Gets A Chocolate Facial [VIDEO]

The Chocolate Affair is coming up in Westport next month, and this event has everyone buzzing. Not only is everyone anxious to try all the yummy treats at the event, but there’s something else that people want to know about: the chocolate facial from Body Bliss Spa.

One of my DJ’s, Nancy Hall, is getting married next month, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity for her to indulge in a little pampering before her big day. So we contacted Dawn Malagut at the spa, and she told us to bring Nancy over so she could get the royal treatment.

The thing I love most about Nancy is that she is always game for anything. She has a big personality for a tiny lady, and her smile is infectious. But no matter how pleasing her personality is, I wasn’t sure how she would feel about me taping the whole chocolate facial thing. I need not have worried. She was game.

So yesterday morning, Nancy, my live events manager Kristen Pacheco and I crowded into the tiny massage therapy room in Dartmouth ready to see what a chocolate facial is like. Now I’ve had facials in the past, but I’ve never filmed one. It is a very different experience hovering over a colleague for an hour while she is draped with a sheet and smeared with chocolate like an over-sized bagel.

Still, I think the whole project came together quite nicely. Nancy loved the experience, although her tip for you considering getting the procedure done is this, “don’t do it first thing in the morning unless you can take the day off.” She had a little trouble keeping her eyes open the rest of the day. Yes, it relaxes you that much!
