Hi Everyone,

My September started today with a little help from a bug. My wife and I moved into our new place over the weekend after months of living in hotels, something I don’t mind doing if I have to, but which can quickly get old. Hotel living can also leave you utterly exhausted. Think noisy guests that never sleep, unruly children that think it is fun to body slam connecting walls, and barking dogs that must have spotted a squirrel outside the window. Hi Everyone,

The long, lazy days of summer are in full swing, especially here in Texas where temperatures in Dallas/Fort Worth have reached 108 degrees in some places, and taking a walk is the equivalent of swimming underwater without a snorkel, the air is so thick with humidity. Even so, every time August rolls around, I can’t help but feel as though the magic of summer has slowly started to wane. Hello everyone,

June has arrived, and so has the summer heat and humidity. Now that the rains that flooded North Dallas seem to have subsided, the rivers are once again receding and the long, languid, sunny days of the season are finally here. I have to admit that even though I typically don’t revel in the heat, after spending what seemed like an endless winter in New England with enough snow to bury our house, I’m loving being back in Texas and am actually kind of enjoying the warmth (so long as I can retreat to the air conditioned comfort of the indoors when it becomes too unbearable).
