It may seem difficult to find an internship in the midst of a pandemic, but opportunities do still exist. So where should you look? Women of Cincy is one organization looking for the ideal candidate, and this online publication and social enterprise could be the perfect launch pad for your career, particularly if you’re interested in uplifting women.

If you’re a creative, motivated college student with experience and an interest in journalism or English, apply before July 31 for your chance to snag a fall/spring editorial residency.

What can you expect as an editorial resident at Women of Cincy? You’ll get hands on experience at a socially-minded startup, including an in-depth, independent capstone. You’ll help oversee content editing and fact checking as well as write articles, social media materials, and more. And you will work remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic, putting in 15 hours per week.

Although preference will be given to applicants who can commit to summer and fall semesters, everyone is encouraged to apply and all gender identities are welcome. Please note: This internship is unpaid. However, Women of Cincy does its best to offer support to its students during and after their residency and it works with its’ students’ college programs so they receive course credit.

If you are interested in learning more or want to apply, find instructions and specifics about this opportunity at WomenofCincy.org/residency.
