There is plenty to laugh about when you’re a single dad. (Photo by SingleDadLaughing/Flickr)
Although being a great dad is one of the toughest jobs in the world, with fatherhood comes lots of opportunities to laugh out loud, particularly if you have a slightly warped sense of humor like comedian Josh Wolf does.
Several months ago, The Wake-Up Crew on my country station interviewed Josh and his anecdotes had us all cracking up in the studio, so reading his new book, “It Takes Balls: Dating Single Moms and Other Confessions from an Unprepared Single Dad,” was a no brainer.
This book is packed with stories about everything from coaching little league as a way to introduce your kids to sports (the Bad News Bears has nothing on Josh’s international team of misfits) to the misadventures that can happen by doing something as simple as packing your kids’ lunch (like getting a call from the principal after sending your four-year-old son to school with a can of beer in his lunchbox).
As someone who is trying to adopt kids, I actually learned a lot about parenting (primarily what not to do) when I read this hysterical and brutally honest book. But whether you have kids or not, I’m sure you’ll enjoy Josh Wolf‘s book as much as I did. But be warned, this tome is sure to have you laughing your keister off. Enjoy!
