Jurassic Park Is Back In Theatres

Jurassic Park

Jurassic Park is back on screens after 20 years! (Universal Studios)

One of my all-time favorite movies is back on the silver screen after 20 years. But this time, the dinosaurs of Jurassic Park are brought to life in amazing 3D!

I still remember heading to the cineplex the first time the film was released when I was a kid in 1993. Back then, I sat flanked by two of my best friends, Monica and Sharon, and I still remember them screaming and tossing their popcorn all over me every time a dinosaur roared.

Since then, I’ve purchased the movie on VHS (that tells you how long ago it was) and again in DVD and have watched the entire trilogy over and over again. (Did I mention this is one of my favorite movies of all time?) But what can I say, I’m a huge fan of everything ever created by both Steven Spielberg and Michael Crichton.

Having virtually memorized the movie, including every scene, all the dialogue and even John Williams‘ majestic score, is it worth forking out the dough to see the movie on the big screen again in 3D? You bet your boots it is!

You’ll want to go particularly if you have kids that have never seen the film in theatres. This is one of those big box office smashes that was meant to be see on towering screens, burrowed deep in your plush stadium seat, biting your nails as frequently as you nibble your popcorn.

I halfway thought I’d be a little jaded seeing the movie for the umpteenth time, but no, it was just as exciting as it was all those years ago. But this time it was my wife who screamed and tossed her candy in the air. And I admit, I leapt right along with her.

So take a trip down memory lane, slip on your 3D glasses and disappear into the jungles of Jurassic Park with your friends and family. After all, it is the adventure that makes you remember what movie magic is all about!

How well do you know Jurassic Park? Take my quiz!
